The course
The Rescue Diver course is where your diving skills really get put to the test and you really start to become someone other divers can rely on. You learn, mostly through practice, how to deal with emergencies, small and large, and how to prevent them in the first place.

Your training includes techniques for self rescue, diver stress management, emergency management, and rescuing panicking and unresponsive divers.
You’ll also be taking the Emergency First Response Course as part of the course training, unless you’ve completed a recognized CPR and First Aid course in the past 24 months.

Our typical course schedule is
Day 1: watch and discuss the Rescue Diver video. EFR training
Day 2: confined water training
Day 3: two dive scenarios at Maeda Point. Final exam in the afternoon

What’s next
As a certified Rescue Diver with at least 40 dives, you’re eligible for the Divemaster Course and your first step on the professional diver ladder in the PADI system of diver education.
